Hi Lane,
Thanks for the review! there are a few different ways a shoe can squeak. Moisture in the lining set off by friction as you walk. Friction of the rubber outsole on specific types of floors, tile and laminate. Or there could be an issue with the shank.
For the moisture issue I would recommend adding a dash of cornstarch or baby powder to lining to help seek out the area of friction.
For the friction squeak on certain types of floors this issue can go away over time as the outsole starts to wear. Additionally you can try the same cornstarch or powder trick on the bottom of the shoe.
If the issue is with the shank the squeak may improve as it settles into place or it may never improve. If this is the issue, we would like to check out the shoes on our end.
I know it can be hard to determine the origin of the noise but hopefully you can rule out a couple sources through process of elimination. Do you hear the noise walking on concrete or dirt? If so it's not the rubber on floors squeak. Try the powder on the lining and see if that helps. Do you hear the noise when you rock back and forth from heel to toe? It could be the shank. If so, please reach out to info@warfieldandgrand.com
