Hi Antonio,
Thanks for the review. The Ruckson boot has an oiled leather upper which is a type of pullup leather. A scratch on the upper is essentially a mark where the oil has been displaced. These can often be worked out by rubbing the leather with your thumb to help redistribute the oil in that area. A real stubborn scratch can benefit from a little nose grease. Over time the leather with age into a nice patina and the scratches and range of color will develop the boots character. Or if you want them looking clean you can always treat with leather conditioner to add moisture back into the leather and even out the appearance. I'm sorry to hear the boot arrived with a scratch, if it's keeping you from enjoying the boots, please let us know.
